1. แพคเกจอินเทอร์เน็ตบ้านถูกจำกัดแบนด์วิดธ์ระหว่างประเทศ 256Kb/s – 1Mb/s. (International bandwidth)
2. ผู้ให้บริการบางรายจำกัดแบนด์วิดธ์เป็นช่วงเวลา หรือจำกัดประมาณการจราจรข้อมูลต่อวัน ผู้ใช้อาจจะต้องดาวน์โหลดหรืออัพโหลดข้อมูลในช่วงกลางคืนเพื่อให้ได้ความเร็วไม่จำกัด

3. ผู้ให้บริการอินเทอร์เน็ตในประเทศไทยส่วนใหญ่ให้บริการเชื่อมต่อผ่านทาง ADSL จึงมีอัตราอัพโหลดข้อมูลช้า ซึ่งโดยมากเป็นข้อจำกัดของ ADSL

JasTel partners with Tata Communications to offer Thailand’s First Global Tier-1 IP Services

March 25, 2009 (Bangkok, Thailand) – JasTel Network Co., Ltd., a leading Thai provider of domestic and international telecommunications services, is partnering with Tata Communications, a leading global provider of a new world of communications, to provide Global Tier-1 IP Transit and other new IP-Services in Thailand. The new partnership is being announced today in Bangkok. The partnership will link JasTel’s Jasmine Tower in Thailand’s most populous city of Bangkok to over 400 Points of Presence (PoPs) in over 200 countries via Tata Communications’ Global Tier-1 IP Network. In addition to providing IP connectivity, JasTel’s customers will benefit from Tata Communications’ managed services offerings for their Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure.

“Providing Global Tier-1 IP Service, in collaboration with Tata Communications, will allow JasTel to provide innovative and high-quality services like managed security services on a truly global backbone,” said Mr. Somchai Treerattanaukool, the company’s general manager at JasTel Network. “Tata Communications’ Global Tier-1 IP service capability will also help Jasmine Tower to become an alternative ICT hub in Asia.”

Enabling Tata Communications’ Managed Security Services will further extend Thai users’ security beyond traditional enterprise security levels. Tata Communications’ integrated suite of security technologies provides customers with real-time security threat detection and assessment, swift security incident response and remediation with managed firewall capabilities, managed intrusion detection and prevention as well as unified threat management and Distributed Denial f Service (DDoS) Protection services.
